Darrell Wallace, Jr. Wins Old Dominion 100

HUNTERSVILLE, NC (June 14, 2009) -Joe Gibbs Racing's developmental driver Darrell Wallace, Jr. captured his first victory of 2009 with a win in the Old Dominion Shootout 100 for Late Model Stock Cars at Franklin County Speedway in Callaway, VA.

Wallace, was hoping to have a weekend sweep, but a late-race incident during an UARA Race Saturday night at Orange County Speedway in Hendersonville, NC forced him to settle for 13th place instead of a possible top-five finish.
Wallace proved to be fast all day on Sunday with solid practice runs and then capturing the pole position during qualifying. The race proved to a classic short track battle, but Wallace persevered and took the lead from track champion Jimmy Mullins with less than 10 laps to remaining en route to the checkered flag.

With the UARA race in Coastal Plains postponed, Wallace is scheduled to return to the track for the UARA race in Hickory on June 27.
